ABOUT
US

After backpacking
in many wonderful places around the world and getting
to know our own country from top to bottom, we decided
to establish ourselves in Constitución and create
a meeting point for visitors from abroad.
We
love meeting people from other cultures, who have different
ways of seeing life and thoughts about the world. It
is our pleasure to show and share our friendly ways,
our beautiful country, and our own culture.
We
chose Constitución because we see it as a summary
of Chile. It has mountains, rivers, the sea, lush forests,
desert-like dunes, typical towns and villages, and a
very temperate climate. Here, you can get to know Chileans
and Chilean culture, relax, or do wide range of adventure
activities...we recommend all three!
A recent addition to our outfit are two Canadian guides
– Catherine and Greg. They´re young, enthusiastic,
and adventurous, and look forward to introducing you
to their new home.

TO GET HERE

Always call us first, we can tell you about schedules,
prices, and necessary info for your arrival.
Santiago to Constitución
Direct Bus:
• Take the company "Pullman del Sur"
from the Bus station "Terminal Santiago Sur".
We will pick you up at the Constitución Bus Station.
(This is the cheapest, easiest, but longest way here.)
Train/Bus:
• Take the train (Estación Central) to
Talca, and then a bus or minibus to Constitución.
We will pick you up at the Constitución Bus Station.
(The fastest!)
Train/Train*:
• Take the train (Estación Central) to
Talca,
and then jump on Chile´s only ¨ramal¨
(branch) train that follows the Maule River to Constitución.
Don´t forget to sit on the left side for the best
views! (The most beautiful! But long at 5 ½ hours
and more difficult due to connections and schedules.)
Other Cities
• Find your way to Talca (very easy to find connections
as it is on the Panamerican). Then, take the train or
bus. See above for more information.

DEL BOSQUE (House of the Forest)

Welcome to Casa del Bosque...our home.
It is a fully-equipped, comfortable house with a rustic,
relaxed feel. We boast a full-sized kitchen, bathrooms
with hot water all day long, and common rooms with books,
table tennis, billiards, a piano, a fireplace, and several
board games. Don´t expect to find TVs, computers,
video games, or land lines here...we have a strict ban!
We
offer healthy and delicious meals at the house. As well,
the (safe!) drinking water is as fresh as it comes...directly
from nature itself.
The surroundings beg to be explored. Ideally situated
2 kms in a native pine and eucalyptus forest there are
numerous hiking trails. A stream also rambles past the
house where you can swim in crystal clear pools. Add
to this the songs of native birds and you will think
you are in paradise!
At
night, we have an amazingly clear sky where you can
enjoy the stars of the southern hemisphere. Keep an
eye out for satellites and shooting stars!
